Writer, editor, performer, photographer, model, actor, audio engineer - Monica S. Kuebler feels as comfortable in front of the cameras as behind them.

Born in the middle of the worst blizzard of the year, the horoscope for the day of her birth called her "a natural born writer who would be drawn to the stage." As it turns out, occasionally astrologers do get it right.

Monica has studied acting, dance and music. She holds a diploma in audio engineering. She currently spends her time working as associate editor / webmaster of Rue Morgue Magazine and running Burning Effigy Press, a micro press specializing in genre titles, provocative fiction and poetry. Her decade long love affair with performance poetry has allowed her to perform as far abroad as San Francisco, New York, Chicago, and London, England.

In December 2002, she celebrated the release of her first full-length book, Some Words Spoken, co-written with fellow Toronto writer / artist, Cynthia Gould. It can be ordered online by visiting the Some Words Spoken website. She is currently recording and editing the tracks for her first CD and furiously pounding away at her first horror novel and second poetry collection (The Sick and the Beautiful).
